MHS Student Testimonials - Jance
Hi. My name is Jance R. I am a Junior at Marshall High School. My first experience with the CTE program was last year in the Auto Mechanics class. I loved it so much that this year I am enrolled in two double blocked CTE programs. I spend four hours a day in Automotive Technology. It’s the best part of my day. I was awarded the CTE Student of the Month for February. These classes have definitely helped me decide on a future career path. To me, expanding the CTE program is a no brainer!
Marshall Native Ask
My name is Dare W and I am a long-term resident of Marshall and raised three children here. I am a proponent of increasing educational opportunities in Marshall, not only for the benefit of the students, but for the benefit of our community, as it attracts industry.
One such educational opportunity is the Career & Technology Education (CTE) program which provides students with academic and technical skills necessary to succeed in future careers by learning important trades. Students enrolled in this program are more likely to find quality jobs and our community now has the workforce available to fill jobs in the area. It’s a win, win for both students and for Marshall!
By passing the bond, the CTE facilities will be updated and improved to provide the best possible facility and education to those students enrolled in it. Having the resource of an educated, qualified workforce now allows Marshall to compete with other communities to bring good jobs to the area.
Please consider promoting passage of this bond, for the students and for Marshall!
MHS Student Testimonials
Hello. I’m Jaela A. I’m in the seventh grade at Marshall Junior High School. My favorite class is Choir. I was excited to make All-Region! My brothers are both in CTE programs at the high school. I am hoping to get into the Cosmetology program in the eighth grade as I love all things “girly”; hair, makeup, facials, nails! To be able to continue Choir class and Cosmetology in high school will be a dream come true!
MHS Student Testimonials - Jaxon
Hi. My name is Jaxon A. I am a Freshman at Marshall High School. I am enrolled in the Welding CTE program, and I love it. This is something I see myself continuing in. I will be able to get a decent paying job right out of high school, (although I plan on attending college). The fact that our high school provides us opportunities to obtain job readiness skills is awesome.
